游吟诗人,是中世纪欧洲的歌曲作曲者和表演者。游吟诗人擅长于演唱情歌,亦积极介入当代社会、政治和宗教种种问题。他们周游往来欧洲列国宫廷之间,相互交换消息和交流新曲调和诗句。在游吟诗人的诗作的讽刺诗体,其中不乏揭发统治者的不公、社会劣行、当时政府的腐败、教会与教廷的丑闻等。

A troubadour (English /ˈtrbədʊər/, French: [tʁubaduʁ]; Occitan:trobador, IPA: [tɾuβaˈðu]) was a composer and performer of Old Occitan lyric poetry during the High Middle Ages (1100–1350). Since the word troubadour is etymologically masculine, a female troubadour is usually called a trobairitz.
