Tresckow (including variations thereof) is a German family originally from Mark Brandenburg, belonging to the Uradel of Ruppiner Land, i.e. the nobility dating back to the Middle Ages. A cadet branch is known as Treskow.
The family is known since 1336, when Hinricus Treskowe, Lord of Buckow, was mentioned. General and anti-Nazi activist Henning von Treschow was considered the prime mover behind the 20 July plot.
