平衡记分卡（BSC）是一种战略绩效管理工作，是一种半标准化的结构报告，根据设计方法和自动化工作制定，可由经理用来跟踪员工活动执行，进行管理，监控结果等。平衡计分卡可能是类似方法中最著名的一种（是一种广泛采用的绩效管理框架，在贝恩咨询公司年度调查管理工具中有所记载。在1990年间在英语西方国家和北欧国家被广泛应用。截止2000年，平衡计分卡及其衍生方法（如绩效棱镜法等），以及其他相关工具（如结果管理等）也在中东国家、亚洲国家和西班牙语美洲国家开始广泛应用。
