Tayside
(重定向自Tayside Region)

Tayside (Scottish Gaelic:Taobh Tatha) was a local government region of Scotland from 15 May 1975 to 31 March 1996. It was created by the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, following recommendations made by the 1969 Wheatley Report which attempted to replace the mishmash of counties, cities, burghs and districts, with a uniform two-tier system of regional and district councils. Following the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994, it is now divided into the council areas of Angus, the City of Dundee and Perth and Kinross, which had previously been the region's districts.
