Terah or Térach (Hebrew: תֶּרַח / תָּרַח, ModernTéraḥ / TáraḥTiberianTéraḥ / Tāraḥ; "Ibex, wild goat", or "Wanderer; loiterer") is a biblical figure in the Book of Genesis, son of Nahor, son of Serug and father of the Patriarch Abraham, all descendants of Shem's son Arpachshad. Terah is mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and in the New Testament.
