藤壶属 Balanus

藤壶属（学名：Balanus）是藤壶科下的一属，俗称“马牙”。该属物种的共同特征是雌雄同体，成年后将自己粘附在坚硬物体表面等，附着在船体表面的藤壶常给船舶航行带来困难，因为会增加船体表面的阻力，而浪费燃料。因此船只吃水线之下的漆料需选择不易被藤壶所附着的。而鹅颈藤壶等生物虽然也叫藤壶并且有着类似的生活方式，却不是该属的成员。
