The Stratioti or Stradioti (Italian:Stradioti, Stradiotti, Greek:Στρατιώτες/Stratiotes, Albanian:Stratiotët); were mercenary units from the Balkans recruited mainly by states of southern and central Europe from the 15th until the middle of the 18th century.
