彼得（希腊语：Πετρος，天主教中文译伯多禄或伯铎，正教中文译裴特若，1年－67年6月29日），基督教创始者耶稣所收的十二使徒之一，初代教会的核心人物之一。天主教会认为他创建了罗马教会，是罗马教会的第一位主教，也就是第一任教宗。基督新教则认为罗马教会多半不是彼得创建的，他甚至不一定去过罗马；罗马主教成为众教会之首、被奉为教宗是第五世纪以后逐渐创建的传统。

按照新约圣经记载，彼得是加利利海边的一位渔夫，本名西门（希腊语：Σίμων），由兄弟安得烈带领认识耶稣。耶稣给他改名为矶法（希腊语：Κηφᾶς），即亚兰文“磐石”的意思，翻译成希腊文就是彼得。他就开始跟随耶稣，认出耶稣是神的儿子，是耶稣最亲近的门徒之一，福音书中对十二门徒的记载以彼得最多。耶稣被捕以后，他失去信心，别人问他是否是耶稣的门徒，他三次否认，正如耶稣预言的一样。耶稣复活以后，他的信心重新得到坚固。耶稣升天以后，他开始讲道，传讲耶稣是基督的福音，并带领教会。他有两封书信被收入新约圣经，另外，写马可福音的马可是他的门徒。按照教会传统说法，他后来在尼禄逼迫基督教的时候到了罗马，不久殉道，按照他自己的要求被倒钉十字架而死，因为他认为自己不配像耶稣一样钉十字架。
