仿星器（Stellarator）因仿真恒星内部持续不断的核聚变反应而得名，是以磁场约束核聚变等离子体，稳定运行提供动力的实验设备。它是最早期的受控核聚变装置中，最初美国物理学家莱曼·史匹哲在1950年发明，并且在第二年建造在后来的普林斯顿等离子体物理实验室。这个名字指的是利用恒星对象太阳动力源的可能性。

此种设备在二十世纪五六十年代的可控核聚变研究当中十分普遍，但是由于七十年代托卡马克有重大进展，仿星器研究曾一度搁置。近年来由于托卡马克研究中的一些问题，仿星器的研究逐渐再受重视，且已经建成一些新设备。一些重要的现代仿星器实验包括德国的文德尔施泰因7-X（W7X），美国的螺旋对称实验 （HSX），和日本的大型回旋场设备（LHD），大多已经通过真空性能测试、磁测试等等的阶段。

A stellarator is a device used to confine hot plasma with magnetic fields in order to sustain a controlled nuclear fusion reaction. It is one of the earliest controlled fusion devices, first invented by Lyman Spitzer in 1950 and built the next year at what later became the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. The name refers to the possibility of harnessing the power source of the sun, a stellar object.
