方块矩阵

方块矩阵，或简称方阵，是行数及列数皆相同的矩阵。由 $n \times n\,$ 矩阵组成的集合，连同矩阵加法和矩阵乘法，构成环。除了 $n=1\,$ ，此环并不是交换环。

M(n, R)，即实方块矩阵环，是个实有单位的结合代数。M(n, C)，即复方块矩阵环，则是复结合代数。
