smartbook 通常使用 5-10 吋的屏幕，使用触摸屏幕或实体QWERTY键盘。它长期保持开机，使用电池，具备 3G 连接功能，通常也同时具备 Wifi 及 GPS。

它使用 ARM处理器，比传统使用在台式机及笔记型电脑的 x86 处理器更为省电。

A smartbook was a class of mobile device that combined certain features of both a smartphone and netbook computer, produced between 2009 and 2010. Smartbooks were advertised with features such as always on, all-day battery life, 3G, or Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS (all typically found in smartphones) in a laptop or tablet-style body with a screen size of 5 to 10 inches and a physical or soft touchscreen keyboard.
