木糠是木材在锯开期间，在锯片与木互相磨擦时的副产物。

过往，木糠的用处不大。有给牲口舖垫或食用。在1950年代的澳门，会把木糠压成一块来作燃料用。及至层板的出现，木糠会跟其他如蔗渣之类的废料混合在一起，成为蔗渣板。

甜品木糠布甸即因其表面之糖粉好像木糠而得名。

It is also the byproduct of certain animals, birds and insects which live in wood, such as the woodpecker and carpenter ant. It can present a hazard in manufacturing industries, especially in terms of its flammability. Sawdust is the main component of particleboard.
