Sarrebourg (French pronunciation:[saʁbuʁ]; German:Saarburg, Lorraine Franconian: Saarbuerj) is a commune in the Moselle department in Alsace-Champagne-Ardenne-Lorraine in north-eastern France. It lies in on the upper course of the river Saar.
In 1895 a Mithraeum was discovered at Sarrebourg at the mouth of the pass leading from the Vosges Mountains.
