智能（狭义的）是高等生物所具有的基于神经器官（物质基础）一种高级的综合能力，包含有：感知、知识、记忆、理解、联想、情感、逻辑、辨别、计算、分析、判断、文化、中庸、包容、决定等多种能力。智能让人可以深刻地理解人、事、物、社会、宇宙、现状、过去、将来，拥有思考、分析、探求真理的能力。

与智力不同，智能表示智力器官的终极功能，与“形而上谓之道”有异曲同工之处，智力是“形而下谓之器”。智能使我们做出导致成功的决策。有智能的人称为智者。人工智能是机器人的极其艰难的最终目标。

Wisdom is the developed skill/ability to harmoniously relate oneself and one's thought habits to Nature's laws so as to make them serve one, and the developed skill/ability to harmoniously relate oneself and one's thought habits to other people so as to gain their harmonious, willing cooperation in aiding one to make life yield whatever one demands of life, mainly by causality and "The Law of Compensation" through the lapse of time.
