旧金山湾

旧金山湾（英语：San Francisco Bay）是美国加利福尼亚州中部的一个河口湾，位于萨克拉门托河下游出海口。海湾呈南北链型，周围分布独立的城市，以半岛的旧金山，东湾的奥克兰，以及南湾的圣荷西为主要聚落。湾内有四个主要岛屿：天使岛是一个州立公园；阿拉米达是一城市；金银岛原是一海军设施，现已转为民用；阿尔卡特拉斯岛设有二十世纪专门关押最恶劣罪犯的一个监狱（现已停用），号称无人能从这里脱逃，因为它四面环水，水温极低，而且有白鲨出没。

海湾的地理区分与旧金山湾区陆地惯用的地理名称稍有不同。从海湾大桥往南的全部水域都称为「南湾」（South Bay），海湾大桥往北、金门桥以内、北至圣拉菲大桥的水域称为「中湾」（Central Bay），再往北则称为「北湾」（North Bay）。北湾又称为「圣帕布罗湾」（San Pablo Bay）。
