《RuneScape》是由英国Jagex采用Java开发的基于网页的大型多人在线角色扮演游戏，在世界上很受欢迎，尤其是英国及美国。

RuneScape的前身是由Andrew Gower于1998年在牛津大学编写的DeviousMUD，2001年Jagex成立并正式更名为RuneScape。2002年2月RuneScape允许玩家付款成为付费会员。于2004年3月29日推出第二版，并将旧版命名为Runescape Classic。现时，RuneScape约有超过九千万玩家，超过一百万名付费会员。据统计全球约有六百万人每月最少玩一次RuneScape（2007年末），并于2008年8月被列入玩家总数最多的大型多人在线角色扮演游戏健力士世界大全。现时，Runescape最新版本为RuneScape（高质素版本）（RuneScape High Detail，简称 Runescape HD），于2008年7月14日推出。
