自转旋翼机（Autogyro、Gyroplane）简称自旋翼机者者旋翼机，是旋翼航空器的一种，介于飞机和直升机之间。旋翼机大多以尾桨提供动力前进，用尾舵控制方向。它的旋翼没有动力装置驱动，仅依靠前进时的相对气流吹动旋翼自转以产生升力。旋翼机不能垂直上升和悬停，必须像飞机一样滑跑加速才能起飞，但起落距实际近乎零的零距离起落(不能垂直起落但不需跑道的原地向前上下方倾斜起飞降落)。旋翼机的结构相对简单，安全性亦较好，一般用于旅游或体育活动。

An autogyro (from Greek αὐτός + γύρος, self-turning), also known as gyroplane, gyrocopter, or rotaplane, is a type of rotorcraft which uses an unpowered rotor in autorotation to develop lift, and an engine-powered propeller, similar to that of a fixed-wing aircraft, to provide thrust. While similar to a helicopter rotor in appearance, the autogyro's rotor must have air flowing through the rotor disc to generate rotation. Invented by the Spanish engineer Juan de la Cierva to create an aircraft that could fly safely at slow speeds, the autogyro was first flown on 9 January 1923, at Cuatro Vientos Airfield in Madrid. De la Cierva's aircraft resembled the fixed-wing aircraft of the day, with a front-mounted engine and propeller in a tractor configuration to pull the aircraft through the air.
