释义

RNA polymerase

In double-immunodiffu-sion test, this antiserum could form precipitin lines with different batches of 615 mouse liver RNA polymerases B.

RNA polymerase also then binds the RNA nucleotides together making a new RNA strand.

In the nucleus, the enzyme RNA polymerase unwinds and unzips the two strands of DNA that contain the protein-making gene.

With RNA viruses, many of them stay in the cytoplasm where the viral RNA is used by the host's ribosomes to create viral RNA polymerase proteins.

Now this virus is a single-stranded RNA virus, and it's also a negative sense, meaning it first has to be transcribed by RNA polymerase into a positive-sense mRNA strand.

RNA polymerases are more likely to make copying errors than DNA polymerases and therefore often make mistakes during transcription, this is why mutations in RNA viruses occur more frequently than in DNA viruses.

RNA polymerase (RNAP or RNApol) (Ribonucleic acid), also known as DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, is an enzyme that produces primary transcript RNA. In cells, RNAP is necessary for constructing RNA chains using DNA genes as templates, a process called transcription. RNA polymerase enzymes are essential to life and are found in all organisms and many viruses. In chemical terms, RNAP is a nucleotidyl transferase that polymerizes ribonucleotides at the 3' end of an RNA transcript.
