Retro style

Retro style is style that is consciously derivative or imitative of trends, music, modes, fashions, or attitudes of the recent past, typically 15–50 years old and currently manufactured. "Retro" does not mean "old" any more than "vintage" means old. Retro means backwards, or to reverse direction. An item manufactured in the 1950's is not "retro", it's old. Any item made last week can be "retro style", or "retro" if it has the appearance of an older design or style. It can also be "vintage", vintage 2016, which is clearly not old.
