需求获取，属于软件工程中的一部分，包括需求来源和获取需求的技术。它是软件需求分析的第一阶段，其本质主要是人的活动，涉及软件开发人员如何与包括客户在内的各方干系人创建有效的沟通,以来获取各方对软件的要求、期望、限制等等。也称为“需求发现”、“需求获得”。

需求获取得到的产物目前没有统一的称呼。 常见有如下的一些做法：

In requirements engineering, requirements elicitation is the practice of collecting the requirements of a system from users, customers and other stakeholders. The practice is also sometimes referred to as "requirement gathering".

The term elicitation is used in books and research to raise the fact that good requirements can not just be collected from the customer, as would be indicated by the name requirements gathering. Requirements elicitation is non-trivial because you can never be sure you get all requirements from the user and customer by just asking them what the system should do OR NOT do (for Safety and Reliability). Requirements elicitation practices include interviews, questionnaires, user observation, workshops, brainstorming, use cases, role playing and prototyping.
