The International Atomic Energy Agency says a backup power line to the Russian-held Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine has been restored, providing it with the external electricity it needs to cool its reactors.

The International Atomic Energy Agency citing information supplied from Ukraine said the plant's backup power line had been cut to extinguish a fire but that the line itself was not damaged and would be reconnected.
