Then Elkanah went home to Ramah, but the boy ministered before the Lord under Eli the priest.

He added, " Come, let's try to reach Gibeah or Ramah and spend the night in one of those places" .

又对仆人说：" 我们可以到一个地方，或住在基比亚，或住在拉玛。"

This is what the Lord says: " A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more" .

When David had fled and made his escape, he went to Samuel at Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him. Then he and Samuel went to Naioth and stayed there.

大卫逃避，来到拉玛见撒母耳，将扫罗向他所行的事述说了一遍。他和撒母耳就往拿约去居住。

So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.

撒母耳就用角里的膏油，在他诸兄中膏了他。从这日起，耶和华的灵就大大感动大卫。撒母耳起身回拉玛去了。

Then King Asa issued an order to all Judah—no one was exempt—and they carried away from Ramah the stones and timber Baasha had been using there. With them King Asa built up Geba in Benjamin, and also Mizpah.

于是亚撒王宣告犹大众人，不准一个推辞，吩咐他们将巴沙修筑拉玛所用的石头、木头都运去，用以修筑便雅悯的迦巴和米斯巴。
