在线性代数中（以及其在量子力学中的运用），升算符或降算符——集合起来称为阶梯算符——为可以将另一算符的本征值分别做增加或减少的算符。在量子力学中，有时候升算符称为创生算符，而降算符称为消灭算符。阶梯算符在量子力学中的著名应用是出现在量子谐振子以及角动量的形式中。

换句话说，若是算符的一个本征态，带有本征值n，则也是N的一个本征态，带有本征值n + c。对N来说，升算符是一个算符X使得c是正实数，而降算符则是使c是负实数。若N是厄米算符（Hermitian operator），则c必须要是实数，而X的厄米伴算符（Hermitian adjoint）X遵守如下对易关系：

In linear algebra (and its application to quantum mechanics), a raising or lowering operator (collectively known as ladder operators) is an operator that increases or decreases the eigenvalue of another operator. In quantum mechanics, the raising operator is sometimes called the creation operator, and the lowering operator the annihilation operator.
