磁道炮（英语：railgun）是一种与单极马达原理相似的电磁炮发射设备。磁道炮以电流产生的劳仑兹力加速载物，令其沿平行的导轨移动，并进入下一个轨道继续加速。
磁道炮的动力来源与其他武器不同，它没有使用炸药与推进剂，而是采用电磁力达到巨大动能来发射砲弹，传统军事用枪的枪口初速无法超越每秒2000公尺，而磁道炮能达到每秒3000公尺，从而造成大范围强力的破坏。另外磁道炮能避免传统炸药与弹头存储的风险，以及相对低廉的成本亦是磁道炮的优势。
除了军事应用，美国国家航空暨太空总署也建议运用磁道炮将载荷送入外太空的轨道；然而在过程中将产生强大的G力，限制了载荷的使用。

A railgun uses a pair of parallel conductors, or rails, along which a sliding armature is accelerated by the electromagnetic effects of a current that flows down one rail, into the armature and then back along the other rail.
