四足动物（英语：Quadrupedalism；源自拉丁文）是一类使用四支脚来运动的动物。大多数在陆地上行走的动物都属于四足动物，他们在分类上可能是哺乳类（例如马与猫）、爬虫类（例如蜥蜴）以及两栖类（例如青蛙）；而这些分类当中也有一些成员并不属于四足动物，例如人类、蛇、鲸鱼以及海狮。

有一些分类中的动物大多不是四足动物，例如鸟类、昆虫与甲壳类；不过也有一些例外，例如拥有「六肢」的螳螂，就是以四足作移动。少数的鸟类在某些状况下也会进行四足运动，例如鲸头鹳（Balaeniceps rex）会在扑向猎物之后，利用翅膀将自己扶正。

Quadrupedalism or pronograde posture is a form of terrestrial locomotion in animals using four limbs or legs. An animal or machine that usually moves in a quadrupedal manner is known as a quadruped, meaning "four feet" (from the Latin quattuor for "four" and pes for "foot"). The majority of quadrupeds are vertebrate animals, including mammals such as cattle, dogs and cats, and reptiles, like lizards.
