毕业舞会，在美加的英文中称Prom(是promenade缩写)，是一种正式的舞会，男生和女生都要穿上正式服饰，通常这种舞会举行在高中毕业期间(有些学校甚在初中毕业时就会先举办一场)，并邀请即将毕业的学生们参加。毕业舞会这种活动成为美国、加拿大、澳洲等国家的文化，对每个高中毕业的人来说；毕业舞会都是有着不同的回忆，也是对高中学业结束且迈向社会或大学的一场盛宴。现在，这种活动已经传到许多国家，许多国家也会举办相类似的毕业舞会活动。

在亚洲地区，毕业舞会这种活动仍不算普遍，只有部分学校的学生可能自行举办，但一般有毕业聚餐或谢师宴。

In the United States, and increasingly in the United Kingdom and Canada, prom is a semi-formal (black tie) dance or gathering of high school students. This event is typically held near the end of the senior year (the last year of high school). Proms figure greatly in popular culture and is a major event among high school students. High school juniors attending the prom may call it "junior prom" while high-school seniors may call it "senior prom" or "senior ball". In practice, this event may be a combined junior/senior dance.
