附言（英语：postscript；拉丁语：post-scriptum）指的是在书信（或其它文章体栽）完结处之后添加上的内容，缩写为「PS」或“P.S.”。

附言通常可能是一个句子、一个段落或是对许多段落的补充，它往往是在匆忙之间顺便在一篇手稿或书信结尾处添上的。在一个正式的出版品或文章中，一个被称为「后记」的附言内容会被精心设计以便添加在文章完结处之后。

有些时候，附言本身也有一个被称为「附附言」（post-post-scriptum; PPS）的附言，甚至「附附附言」（post-post-post-scriptum; PPPS）无尽循环，不过一般上止于「附附言」。

A postscript (P.S.) is an afterthought, thought of occurring after the letter has been written and signed. The term comes from the Latin post scriptum, an expression meaning "written after" (which may be interpreted in the sense of "that which comes after the writing").
