聚丙烯酰胺(Polyacrylamide 可缩写为PAM或PAAM，化学式(-[CH₂CH]_nCONH₂-) 是由丙烯酰胺单体聚合而成的聚合物。 丙烯醘胺需要用良好药品实验研究规范（Good Laboratory Practices, GLP）处理以避免毒性。 聚丙烯酰胺本身不是有毒的，而且须在非常高的温度下经过一段长的时间才会非常少量分解还原为丙烯酰胺单体（AAG），所以在人体不会分解还原为ＡＡＧ。至于丙烯酰胺单体是种神经毒素（neurotoxin）， 因此建议需要小心处理。 此医疗器材为高吸水性物质,产生胶状物质可应用于聚丙酰胺胺凝胶电泳制造隐形眼镜、化妆品及个人用品。它也会被用作为浓化剂和悬浮剂。 最近, 它已作为一种面部真皮美容手术填充物(详见 Aquamid)。

Polyacrylamide (IUPAC poly(2-propenamide) or poly(1-carbamoylethylene), abbreviated as PAM) is a polymer (-CH₂CHCONH₂-) formed from acrylamide subunits. It can be synthesized as a simple linear-chain structure or cross-linked, typically using N,N'-methylenebisacrylamide. In the cross-linked form, the possibility of the monomer being present is reduced even further. It is highly water-absorbent, forming a soft gel when hydrated, used in such applications as polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and in manufacturing soft contact lenses. In the straight-chain form, it is also used as a thickener and suspending agent. More recently, it has been used as a subdermal filler for aesthetic facial surgery (see Aquamid).
