Pedobear的造型是源自于日本大型讨论站2ch的AA绘图人物，仅仅是一只熊外型的AA绘图图像，并没有和性或恋童癖扯上关系。直到传入美国的贴图讨论版4chan后，逐渐被加上有恋童癖的设置，并有了Pedobear这个名称，Pedo一词源自于英文中的pedophile，也就是恋童癖的意思。最后形成一种与恋童癖者有关的代表性虚构角色。

公元1999年,日本讨论站奇异世界II于、伪古猫什幺叫模仿的字符图片“伪古系列动物”的作者，这个作者的文章的名称是许多人出生开始。熊是变化之一。
