银魣为辐鳍鱼纲鲈形目鲭亚目金梭鱼科的其中一种，分布于东太平洋区，从美国阿拉斯加至墨西哥加利福尼亚半岛海域，栖息深度可达18公尺，体长可达145公分，栖息在沿海，会进入海湾，属肉食性，以鱼类为食，可做为食用鱼及游钓鱼，具利齿，易造成创伤。

Pacific barracuda 银魣Sphryaena argentea (also known as Pacific barracuda, California barracuda, and silver barracuda) is a predatory fish found in the northeast Pacific Ocean. They range from Cabo San Lucas, Baja California to Washington. However, they are not common north of Point Conception in Santa Barbara County, California. They can reach a length of about 1.2 metres (3.9 ft) and a weight of about 6.8 kilograms (15 lb). They are edible. However, they have somewhat of a strong flavor and taste best when smoked. California barracuda are very popular sport fish in Southern California. |
