犹太教正统派是犹太教中最大的群体，是以色列的国定宗教。犹太教正统派内分三个支派，分别是极端正统派、现代正统派和哈西迪教派。

正统派认为唯有自己的一派才是犹太教，他们坚称律法是上帝在西乃山的启示。因此，律法是神圣及享有绝对权威，严格恪守传统信仰和礼俗，拒绝犹太教的任何变革。然而，正统派的《祷文日引》（Daily Prayer Book）指出，律法的内容不单包括《十诫》，它其实泛指《摩西五经》、《塔纳赫》、口传律法及所有宗教的理论、研究和实践。正统派犹太人的生活受这广义的「律法」规范，一切事情必需符合拉比的传统主张和仪式，包括守安息日、奉行饮食规条及每天祷告三次。

Orthodox Judaism is the approach to religious Judaism which subscribes to a tradition of mass revelation and adheres to the interpretation and application of the laws and ethics of the Torah as legislated in the Talmudic texts by the Tanaim and Amoraim. Orthodox Judaism includes movements such as Modern Orthodox Judaism (אורתודוקסיה מודרנית) and Ultra-Orthodox or Haredi Judaism (יהדות חרדית).
