麝鼠（学名：Ondatra zibethicus）是麝鼠属中的唯一成员，是北美洲本土较大的水栖啮齿目动物，并传入欧洲的一些部分。牠们在中大西洋被称为「沼泽松鼠」。成年的麝鼠通常长约25-40厘米，并有一条约20-25厘米长的强壮尾巴。牠们的身躯被一层厚、棕色而防水的毛皮盖着；这毛皮的下半部分的颜色较淡。牠们住在新泽西州、马里兰州及维吉尼亚州微咸的水中。牠们的后腿部分有蹼，并一对像人手的小前腿。牠们的重量可达1700克，大约是一只沟鼠的四倍重。
