红毛丹（学名：Nephelium lappaceum），为东南亚原产之无患子科大型热带果树，马来文称之“rambutan”，意为“毛茸茸之物”。成熟的红毛丹果并非都是红色的，也有黄色的果子。有的红毛丹的核的大小近似于芝麻。红毛丹的味道类似于荔枝。红毛丹在中国种植面积较少，目前全中国只有海南岛的保亭和三亚种植较大面积的红毛丹。三亚的红毛丹价格一般在人民币六元一斤（500公克）。

红毛丹是中国所产的三种韶子属之一，另两种是韶子（N. chryseum）与海南韶子（N. topengii）。

The rambutan (/ræmˈbuːtən/; taxonomic name: Nephelium lappaceum) is a medium-sized tropical tree in the family Sapindaceae. The name also refers to the fruit produced by this tree. The rambutan is native to Malay-Indonesian region, and other regions of tropical Southeast Asia. It is closely related to several other edible tropical fruits including the lychee, longan, and mamoncillo.
