南诏
南诏（738年-902年/937年），吐蕃人称之为姜域（藏文：ལྗང་ཡུལ，威利：ljang yul），是8世纪时兴起的位于中国西南部的古国，其国民主要由乌蛮和白蛮组成，由蒙舍诏首领皮罗阁在738年创建。到860年代极盛时的统治范围包括今云南全境及贵州、四川、**东南部、越南北部、老挝北部和缅甸北部地区。902年郑买嗣自立为帝，灭亡南诏，创建大长和国。史学界有时将902年至937年大理国成立前的历史亦算作南诏。
