呢喃核（英语：Mumblecore）是美国独立电影界在2000年之后获得关注的一项运动。这个流派的电影特点是由超低预算制片（常常由手持的数码摄影机完成）、关注20岁左右年轻人的情感生活、即兴创作的剧本、非专业演员出演。可以被划分为这个流派的导演有：Andrew Bujalski、Mark Duplass、Jay Duplass、Aaron Katz 以及 Joe Swanberg。

呢喃核这个称谓最早是由Bujalski的一位音响编辑Eric Masunaga提出来的。平时也以“mumblecorps”的叫法出现。影评人也有把这个类型的电影叫做“bedhead cinema”或者“Slackavettes”，后者用以向独立电影导演John Cassavetes致敬。

Mumblecore is a subgenre of independent film characterized by naturalistic acting and dialogue (often improvised), low-budget film production, an emphasis on dialogue over plot, and a focus on the personal relationships of people in their 20s and 30s. Filmmakers associated with the genre include Andrew Bujalski, Lynn Shelton, Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass, Aaron Katz, Joe Swanberg, and Ry Russo-Young; although in many cases these directors reject the term.
