Maymana, Meymaneh or Maimana (Uzbek, Pashto, Persian: میمنه) is the capital of Faryab province, northern Afghanistan, near the Turkmenistan border. It is approximately 400 km northwest of the Afghan capital Kabul. The city of Maimana has a population of 149,040 (in 2015). it has 10 districts and a total land area of 3,461 Hectares. The total number of dwellings in this city are 16,560.
