变肾上腺素 (Metanephrine, metadrenaline) 是肾上腺素经由儿茶酚-O-甲基转移酶(COMT)作用后产生的代谢产物。
2002年《美国医学会杂志》的一篇文章指出测量血液中的变肾上腺素类分子(包含变肾上腺素以及去甲变肾上腺素)是诊断嗜铬细胞瘤(肾上腺髓质的新生物)的最佳方式。
