麦加利地震烈度（Mercalli intensity scale）是一个用来量度地震烈度的单位，也就是说用来量化地震对某一特定地点所受到的影响。由地震时地面建筑物受破坏的程度、地形地貌改变、人的感觉等宏观现象来判定。地震烈度源自和应用于十度的罗西福瑞震级（Rossi-Forel），由意大利火山学家朱塞佩·麦加利（Giuseppe Mercalli）在1883年及1902年修订。后来多次被多位地理学家、地震学家和物理学家修订，成为今天的修订麦加利地震烈度（Modified Mercalli Scale）。麦加利地震烈度从感觉不到至全部损毁分为1至12度。5度或以上才会造成破坏，烈度会因观测地点的不同而异。

The Mercalli intensity scale is a seismic scale used for measuring the intensity of an earthquake. It measures the effects of an earthquake, and is distinct from the moment magnitude usually reported for an earthquake (sometimes misreported as the Richter magnitude), which is a measure of the energy released. The intensity of an earthquake is not entirely determined by its magnitude. It is not based on first physical principles, but is, instead, empirically based on observed effects.
