Marikina (/mərɪˈkɪnə/), officially the City of Marikina (Filipino:Lungsod ng Marikina), located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines, is one of the cities that make up Metro Manila, the National Capital Region. Marikina became the capital of the Province of Manila from 1898 to 1899. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 424,150.
