单词 Light field
释义

Light field

This can be accomplished by a light field camera which is also referred to as a plenoptic camera.

However, if we have access to light fields, we can change some camera parameters after the photo was taken.

The Illum still uses a special sensor covered by a matrix of microlenses, which capture the entire light field.

This work offers a novel technique to remedy this situation by attaching a standard camera to this light field camera.

If we stitch all this information together in a smart way, maybe it is a possibility to get full light field editing for videos.

And here comes the problem with using only one light field camera: because of the increased amount of data that they have to record, current light field cameras are only able to take 3 frames per second.

All of these fields tugging on each other essentially makes it harder for light's electric and magnetic fields to generate each other, compared to if they were in a vacuum with nothing in the way.

The goal is that the standard camera has 30, so tons of frames per second, but with little additional information, and the light field camera, which has only a few frames per second, but, with a ton of additional information.

Light field 光场

Summing the irradiance vectors D1 and D2 arising from two light sources I1 and I2 produces a resultant vector D having the magnitude and direction shown (Gershun, fig 17).

The light field is a vector function that describes the amount of light flowing in every direction through every point in space. The direction of each ray is given by the 5D plenoptic function, and the magnitude of each ray is given by the radiance. Michael Faraday was the first to propose (in an 1846 lecture entitled "Thoughts on Ray Vibrations") that light should be interpreted as a field, much like the magnetic fields on which he had been working for several years. The phrase light field was coined by Alexander Gershun in a classic paper on the radiometric properties of light in three-dimensional space (1936).
