海鲡科为辐鳍鱼纲鲈形目鲈亚目的其中一科，其下仅有一属一种，即海鲡，又称军曹鱼、海丽仔、懵仔鱼、鱼仲、懵仲。

本鱼分布于全世界的温、热带海域，除东太平洋以外皆有分布。

The cobia (Rachycentron canadum) is a species of perciform marine fish, the only representative of the genus Rachycentron and the family Rachycentridae. Other common names include black kingfish, black salmon, ling, lemonfish, crabeater, prodigal son, black bonito, and aruan tasek.
