大口黑鲈（学名：Micropterus salmoides）为辐鳍鱼纲鲈形目鲈亚目太阳鱼科的其中一种，原分布于北美洲美国中部、东部至墨西哥北部的淡水流域，并引进世界各地，本鱼背部灰绿色，腹鳍乳白色或带黄色调，全身被大型栉鳞，背鳍硬棘8-9枚，背鳍软条12-14枚，臀鳍硬棘3枚，臀鳍软条10-12枚，体长可达46.4公分，栖息在植被生长，泥底质的溪流、池塘、湖泊等水域，不耐低温，雌鱼会掘洞产卵，属肉食性，可作为游钓鱼及食用鱼。

The largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) is a freshwater gamefish in the sunfish family, a species of black bass native to North America. It is known by a variety of regional names, such as the brown bass, widemouth bass, bigmouth bass, black bass, bucketmouth, Potter's fish, Florida bass, Florida largemouth, green bass, green trout, gilsdorf bass, linesides, Oswego bass, southern largemouth and (paradoxically) northern largemouth.
