Krn (pronounced [ˈkəɾn]; Italian:Monte Nero; 2244 m) is a mountain of the southwestern Julian Alps in northwestern Slovenia. The mountain is located about 50 km from the Adriatic Sea. The Soča River flows to the west of the peak, and the smaller Lepenjica River to the northeast and the Tolminka River to the southwest. Krn has a mighty western wall, which is best viewed from Kobarid or Drežnica.
