鹬鸵（Kiwi），又译为奇异鸟、几维鸟、奇威鸟，泛指几维科（Apterygidae）下的鸟，几维属（Apteryx）是几维科唯一的属，是新西兰的特产，也是新西兰的国鸟及象征，“几维鸟”因其尖锐的叫声「keee-weee」而得名。

在古老的新西兰的南北两岛上，因为没有走兽和蛇，鸟类不必逃避，地面上的食物丰富，飞翔能力逐渐退化。这里分布着很多本地特有的鸟类，而且，不少是***，因此，新西兰有***故乡的称号，但大多***在近几百年人类登陆后灭绝了，仅恐鸟就有15种灭绝。鹬鸵是唯一幸存下来的***。

Kiwi (pronounced /kiːwiː/) or kiwis are flightless birds native to New Zealand, in the genus Apteryx and family Apterygidae. At around the size of a domestic chicken, kiwi are by far the smallest living ratites (which also consist of ostriches, emus, rheas, and cassowaries), and lay the largest egg in relation to their body size of any species of bird in the world. DNA sequence comparisons have yielded the surprising conclusion that kiwi are much more closely related to the extinct Malagasy elephant birds than to the moa with which they shared New Zealand. There are five recognised species, two of which are currently vulnerable, one of which is endangered, and one of which is critically endangered. All species have been negatively affected by historic deforestation but currently the remaining large areas of their forest habitat are well protected in reserves and national parks. At present, the greatest threat to their survival is predation by invasive mammalian predators.
