金属启示录（Apocalyptica）是一个芬兰的乐团，由三位—原为四位—受过古典乐训练的大提琴手组成。2003年开始加入一名鼓手。他们的特别之处在于用大提琴演奏重金属音乐，但他们也演奏古典音乐。他们都曾为西贝流士音乐学院（Sibelius Academy）的学生。

他们的第一张专辑《Plays Metallica by Four Cellos》内容全为金属制品的复刻。第二张专辑《Inquisition Symphony》增加的复刻有Faith No More、Sepultura和Pantera，并有三首原创的曲子。第三张专辑《Cult》继承了相同的音乐风格。 在第四张专辑《eflections》，他们更进一步发展他们的大提琴摇滚(cello rock)风格，加入鼓的部分并发展更电子化的声音，和《Inquisition Symphony》及《Cult》中的原音风格有所不同。

Apocalyptica is a Finnish metal band from Helsinki, Finland formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, and Perttu Kivilaakso (all three of whom are graduates of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki) and drummer Mikko Sirén. Originally a Metallica classical tribute band, the band eventually adopted a neoclassical metal style without the use of conventional guitars. They have sold over four million albums to date.
