再生不良性贫血也叫再生障碍性贫血（简称再障），是指骨髓未能生产足够或新的细胞来补充血液细胞的情况。一般来说，贫血是指低的红血球统计，但患有再生不良性贫血的病人会在三种血液细胞种类（红血球、白血球及血小板）均出现低统计的情况。

Aplastic anemia, also spelled aplastic anaemia, is a rare disease in which the bone marrow and the hematopoietic stem cells that reside there are damaged. This causes a deficiency of all three blood cell types (pancytopenia): red blood cells (anemia), white blood cells (leukopenia), and platelets (thrombocytopenia). Aplastic refers to inability of the stem cells to generate mature blood cells. |
