贝壳杉属（拉丁语：Agathis; 毛利语:Kauri）是南洋杉科下的一个属，主要物种有贝壳杉等共21种。「考里松」(Kauri)这种笔直、高大、无节，木质坚韧、耐用的针叶树，便是其中一种极富经济价值的优良树种。树龄高大4万5千年的考里松，至今仍未腐朽，可见其难以匹敌的耐久性与优越性。19世纪以来，由于殖民者在新西兰大规模的砍伐，使得这种只产于北岛，原本广达300万公顷的考里松，如今只剩约1万公顷，原始森林消失速度之快。

Agathis, commonly known as kauri or dammar, is a relatively small genus of 21 species of evergreen tree. The genus is part of the ancient Araucariaceae family of conifers, a group once widespread during the Jurassic period, but now largely restricted to the Southern Hemisphere except for a number of extant Malesian Agathis.
