约翰·纳皮尔
约翰·纳皮尔（John Napier或Neper，1550年－1617年4月4日），也译作耐普尔，是苏格兰数学家、物理学家兼天文学家。他最为人所熟知的是发明对数，以及滑尺的前身──纳皮尔的骨头计算噐。而且他对小数点的推广也有贡献。纳皮尔出生地在苏格兰爱丁堡的默奇斯顿塔，现在是爱丁堡纳皮尔大学的一部分。

John Napier of Merchiston (/ˈneɪpɪər/; 1550 – 4 April 1617; also signed as Neper, Nepair; nicknamed Marvellous Merchiston) was a Scottish landowner known as a mathematician, physicist, and astronomer. He was the 8th Laird of Merchiston. His Latinized name was Joannes Neper.
