Drekavac (Cyrllic: дрекавац, Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [drɛkaʋats], literally "the screamer"), also called drek and drekalo is a mythical creature in south Slavic mythology. The name is derived from the adjective drečati (meaning bawling).
