简·雅各布斯（英语：Jane Jacobs，1916年5月4日－2006年4月25日）加拿大籍美国人，记者，作家，社会活动家，她对于城市研究的影响最为有名。她的著作《美国大城市的死与生》认为市区重建不尊重大多数市民的需求。书中还介绍了社会学的概念，例如“街区的自然监控”和“社会资本”。

雅各布斯知名于组织草根力量去保护现有的街道免遭罗伯特·摩西的“清除贫民窟”计划所清拆和重建，尤其是她自己住的格林威治村。她为最终取消曼哈顿的高速公路计划出了一份力，因为高速公路将直接穿过索霍路和小意大利城。她在1968年该项目的听证会上因为煽动人群而遭到逮捕。同年她移居加拿大，亦加入反对士巴丹拿道的高速公路计划和多伦多的高速公路网计划的规划与建设的行动。

Jane Jacobs OCOOnt (born Jane Butzner; May 4, 1916 – April 25, 2006) was a Canadian and American journalist, author, and activist best known for her influence on urban studies. Her influential book The Death and Life of Great American Cities (1961) argued that urban renewal did not respect the needs of most city-dwellers. The book also introduced sociology concepts such as "eyes on the street" and "social capital".
